HOLLANDIA SOCCER CLUB is a new soccer club based in Holland dedicated to instilling in youth players the joy of playing the world’s greatest game. The club will provide a professional and organized developmental program as well as administrative structure serving the needs of the Lakeshore community. The primary focus of the club will be on the development of the individual player with particular emphasis on teaching and perfecting individual technique and tactical understanding. Hollandia Soccer Club will be a truly developmental soccer club for the young player. The primary reason for playing soccer is because it is FUN to play. We firmly believe the by teaching and refining the basic skills of the game, players will enjoy the game to a much greater degree and subsequently are more likely to go on and play at higher levels. The world renowned DUTCH VISION OF SOCCER TRAINING is the basis of our curriculum.

UNDER THE DIRECTION OF:
Klaas de Boer – USSF “A” licensed coach

PROGRAMS:
UNDER 8 DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM – a developmental program for boys and girls 6-8 years of age. This will strictly be an in house program where players will train twice a week for one hour plus one game per week. Competition will consist of 5 v 5 (including goalkeeper). Emphasis will be on becoming better players by having FUN. We accept ALL U-8 players. There will be no cuts.

SELECT PROGRAM (U-9 THROUGH U-18) - players seeking a higher level of competition will be placed on teams competing in the Grand Valley Soccer Association (GVSA). The GVSA is a competitive youth league operating along the Lakeshore and Grand Rapids area. While competitive, the fundamental goals of the league are that players learn the game properly and have FUN doing so. The GVSA is affiliated with the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) and as such provides insurance as part of player registration.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAM (U-9 THROUGH U-14) – players in these age groups who like to play soccer but do not want to travel will have the opportunity to play in an in house program. This will be a low key program where players will train once or twice a week and have a game on the weekend.
